As I've been reading this book, I'm remembered about something. It's not about me. This life is not about my faith or my courage, but about glorifying a God that made us out of His own overflowing love.
When I'm reminded of this, it gives me hope that I can relax and know that anytime I am speaking about Him to someone, I do not have to be ashamed or feel guilty when they do not accept what I have to say in their heart. It's not about my track record of "saves" in this life. God is the one who saves. When I'm reminded, it gives me this strong sense of honor with God. He allowed me and you to have a relationship with Him. Isn't that amazing? He didn't have to include you in His plan, but He did! I don't know why that doesn't excite some people. Sometimes I think that's because they think God is somehow out to get them. Well, He is, but not for His selfish pleasure, but to save your heart and soul.
Even though this book is not about His plan for you, understanding how a man develops in this life gives you a better understanding of His amazing design of mankind. He designed men to be amazing people, but we always end up ruining that in some way (by design). When we mess stuff like this up, He is always there to show us the way back. He actually designed our lives to be incomplete so that we would realize our need for Him. This is so amazing to me.
Next time you are having a difficult time getting through a trial in your life, remember that this was His amazing design and that you don't need to worry. He has been in control this entire time and you just need to look to Him for peace, not your circumstances.
As always, stay sharp!
